Minimalist Parenting Book Launch Party + Fundraiser

minimalist parenting book review

For those of you who’ve read Shoestring for any length of time, you know that we’ve been super lucky to have parenting blogger extraordinaire Christine Koh as a regular columnist, sharing her Minimalist Mama expertise in these “pages” over the years. Christine is a dear friend, the fabulously chic, fun, and down-to-earth founder of BostonMamas.com, and now the author of a brand-spanking-new book!

Together with one of my other absolute favorite, Shoestring-esque parenting bloggers, Asha Dornfest of ParentHacks.com, Christine has just published Minimalist Parenting: Enjoy Modern Life More by Doing Less — and their Boston book party is tonight at Isis Parenting in the Prudential Center, with all proceeds from the event going to benefit the March of Dimes.

I’m so honored these freakishly talented ladies also gave me the opportunity to contribute a few pages on budget living to the book! Asha and Christine inspire me constantly and give me courage that one day I, too, can maybe tackle the parenting challenge with poise and a sense of humor, and hope that you’ll pick up a copy of their fabulous book on Amazon or at the party tonight so you can say the same, too — whether you already have kids, have one in the oven, know someone who is, or are thinking of becoming a parent in the future.

If you are already in the family way and need help getting to the party tonight last minute, UrbanSitter is offering $10 in credit for babysitting services with code BOSTONMAMA through 3/31 (for any babysitter listed as accepting credit cards). More info on MinimalistParenting.com.

And if you need more convincing that Christine and Asha are as freakishly talented and fun as I say they are, watch this video they made for the Minimalist Parenting launch:

And then find them (aka RSS away!) at MinimalistParenting.com, BostonMamas.com, ParentHacks.com and over on Amazon.com.
