Pumpkin Pie Smoothie with Banana & Oatmeal

OK, my addiction to pumpkin has officially hit full tilt. I knew it was going to be hard acclimating to a different climate in Texas, but I didn’t know how hard it was going to be missing the change of seasons back in New England — especially as we near Thanksgiving and I’m still wearing sundresses and flip flops, verging on near-manic nostalgia for a real fall.
Which is why I’m completely in love with this smoothie recipe from Tammi of GMO Free Girl, combining organic pumpkin puree, frozen bananas, gluten-free oatmeal & crushed ice. It’s got all the seasonal fall flavors of home I crave without the heat. Because, yeah, hate if you’re gonna, but my AC is still on. In November.
If you’re really into affordable, healthy, organic eating, follow Tammi on Instagram (or subscribe to her blog) for more inspiration.
