Ladies, are you starting to feel the (financial) pressure of needing as stylish a wardrobe for the gym as for going out? Stop sweating — or start! — because my online consignment fave Twice is now selling & accepting 20 fitness brands, as of this week.

With the world sports apparel industry projected to exceed $125 billion in sales by 2015, it’s no wonder we’re feeling the pressure to give our workout wear a makeover, but that’s no excuse to turn looking cute while you do your ab work into a major credit crunch. Secondhand workout wear is totally safe, and a serious money-saver: I can personally attest after buying & selling with Twice for over a year now that their standards are exacting, and only “gently worn activewear…in superb condition” will be accepted & available for sale in their new fitness category, as well. (View the Twice conditions standards here..) To wit, before their official fitness launch, I recently scored a pair of sweet new-with-tags Gap Fit leggings for just $16.95 — worth every penny for the number of compliments I’ve gotten on them at yoga, not to mention that the zippers & piping make them sorta OK to wear in public.

Speaking of yoga, it probably shocks no one that you’ll now be able to score discount Lululemon (thanks to its CEO’s famous foot-in-mouth disease), but plenty of other “budget boot camp” favorites like my personal go-tos of Brooks, Stella McCartney for adidas, New Balance, Nike, Athleta, REI, Patagonia, The North Face, Asics, Columbia, Fila, Puma, and Under Armour (plus half a dozen more brands) can be found at costs that will make both your booty & your bottom line financially fit.

I’m currently sweating the cute, cropped athletic pants from Nike and Calvin Klein Performance on Twice, and fingers crossed they get the Stella McCartney for adidas tennis dress I’ve wanted for years in soon…

Not into workout wear? Twice just started accepting handbags, too! Check out how to sell your near-perfect purses here and you’ll get a $10 bonus credit for every handbag accepted.
