By now, it's no secret that I'm a complete film nerd — and completely obsessed with the Oscars. The one thing I struggle to do every year, however; especially in the years when I don't make it to a film festival, is watch the nominated shorts.
Thankfully, you can watch these two for free today in just minutes and from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you may be). Paperman is a shoe-in to win the Oscar for Best Short Film, and even though the second video below wasn't released in time to be nominated for an Oscar, I really hope it will be next year.
Rollin' Wild's What If Wild Animals Ate Fast Food
Especially because I'm currently taking a nutrition course online through Coursera, I found this animated short about wild animals eating junk food particularly hilarious — but it's also touching. Show some love for the crew behind the film, Rollin' Wild, on Facebook.
Hope to see you tonight at our Oscars party, the 4th Annual #OscarUp! Tickets are just $15 (25% off with code SHOESTRING if you purchase online before 3 p.m. EST today), and are also available at the door.
