I’ve got to be honest, when I first saw the Save Your Logo campaign, I thought it was a total joke. I mean who would try and save a flushing toilet, or an orange bouncing ball, but then I delved a little further. Lacoste was the first international brand to support the Save Your Logo campaign. Who hasn’t had at least one Lacoste product in their lives. I had a navy blue IZOD sweater back in the 80’s. It was navy blue— I felt wicked cool wearing it— and while I’m actually scared to death of crocodiles, I applaud their effort to prevent the disappearance of the species.
What about companies that don’t have an animal as their logo? I can’t really go out and fight to save shoes. Last time I checked shoes weren’t really an endangered species, at least in my closet. But then again, that’s just me, and in other parts of the world shoes really are a high commodity. Which is why I think Tom’s shoes should be part of your holiday shopping.
For every pair purchased, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. TOMSshoes.com Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we're all about.
They’re like a cozy perfectly worn-in pair of vans, and with prices starting at $44 for an adult pair, how can you go wrong.
In case you wanted to support the other half of our logo, why not give a share of Heifer International’s knitting basket. You won’t actually have anything to wrap up and give, but it beats yet another mismatched scarf with a dropped stitch somewhere around row 123.
