Whew! It's been a crazy month here at Shoestring. So much to tell, so little time...while we burn the midnight oil putting the finishing touches on our first-ever Local Holiday Shopping Guide — a clickable US map chock full of over 250 gifts under $50 made right here in the USA, so you can shop locally by state!
Before the month is out, however; I wanted to share with you this amazing snapshot of our whirlwind weekend with our favorite upcycled fashion guru, Marisa from New Dress a Day, while she was in Boston. That's me (above to the left), with James Harder of Goodwill of Massachusetts (middle), and Marisa (on the right). We're standing in front of a warehouse-high bale pile of textiles bound to be recycled into insulation, auto upholstery, and flooring products. Amazing. (Read more about our second Goodwill Boston Blogger Night over on Lei Ann...Off Duty.)
Drooling over all the upcycling possibilities for all that fabric? Want to keep all that awesome clothing in rotation without re-manufacturing? Play "Secondhand Santa" this year with this 25% off Goodwill coupon, good at any Goodwill in Massachusetts through the end of November (11/30).
More soon on stylish secondhand, thrifted, and upcycled holiday gift ideas — both here and over on DIY Boston!
